Hermis redefines how decentralized work is coordinated by introducing a trust-minimized layer for on-chain missions. Unlike traditional freelance platforms, Hermis leverages blockchain transparency and composable logic to ensure fair outcomes for both creators and contributors.
Why Hermis?
- Trust through Reputation: We moved beyond simple ratings. Hermis implements Soulbound Tokens (SBTs) to permanently record a user's skills and history. Your reputation enables you to access higher-tier missions and governance roles.
- Composable "Guards": Mission creators can attach specific logic modules called "Guards" to their tasks. Need a contributor with a specific NFT? Or someone who has staked 100 USDC? Guards automate these checks on-chain before a user can even submit work.
- Decentralized Arbitration: Disputes are inevitable. Hermis includes a built-in arbitration escalation flow. If a submission is unfairly rejected, it can be escalated to a panel of trusted judges, ensuring that bad actors cannot exploit the system.
Application Architecture
The platform is built as a modern Next.js 15 application, fully integrated with the Base Sepolia testnet. It uses TanStack Query for efficient data fetching and The Graph to index on-chain events, providing a real-time dashboard of missions and diverse contributor activities.
Components
- hermis-contracts: The Solidity smart contracts governing the logic.
- hermis-subgraph: The indexing layer making chain data accessible.
- hermis-next: The user-facing frontend application.
